What are User settings?

User Settings
Scheduler© Pro 5 allows the user full user customisation that will allow users to administer Scheduler© Pro 5 to suit their individual business requirements. To navigate to the settings screen the user should click on the “Settings” tab.
These settings are;
- Screen text Used to describe Scheduler in a singular or plural context.
- Multiday view Option is the number of days to view in advance when looking at the multiday view.
- Resource Height The default height of each resource (row) when in multiday view. This value is set as Pixels. The default is set at 50 pixel
- Resource Column Width Is the width of the resource column (left column) when in multiday view.
- Resource Jump Is the number of “Jump” (scroll) when scrolling left or right when viewing multiple resources.
- Resource Count Is the number of resources to show in a multi resource view. There may be limited room if resources have long names, therefore it might be suitable to choose a number that is lower than the actual number of resources that you have.
- Multiday Detail Is to Display the detail of schedules by default when in multiday view. If set to Yes, the detail of each schedule will show. If set to No, the number of schedules for that day will be displayed. NOTE: The detail option can be toggled by clicking on the Multiday tab in Scheduler when viewing the multiday mode.
- Hide events in past Select not to display events that have already ended/passed - Set Hide events in past to Yes. The default is set to No.
- Add task Category Type Allows the user to add a Task Category Type that is visible in tasks.
- Start and Finish Hour Select the start time that you would like Scheduler to begin and the finish time you would like Scheduler to end. Set a start hour of '0' and a finish time of '23' to display a full day View Hour: This is the hour that the scheduler will jump to when it opens. For example, if the start hour is 3:00am, and the View Hour is set to 8:00am, you will still be able to make events before 8:00am and after 3:00am, it simply means that the scheduler will jump straight to 8:00am. Note: Scheduler will only jump to your set viewing hour if there is a scroll bar and the end time is out of view. On large or tall displays, the view hour may seem to not work, when in actual fact scheduler cannot scroll any further down.
- Prompt move Set to 'Yes' to have a confirmation dialog box when you drag and drop an event in Scheduler. Setting to 'No' will automatically commit the change without prompting you.
- Timescale Display the timescale in 1 minute - 60 minute increments. The default is 30 minutes.
- Default
View This option will allow you to select
the default view that is displayed in Scheduler.
- Day - All schedules for the selection displayed in a day view
- Week - All schedules for the selection displayed in a 7 day week view
- Month - All schedules for the selection displayed in a month view
- Year - All schedules for the selection displayed in a year view
- Resource - All resources listed horizontally with timeline vertical and schedules displayed accordingly
- Timeline - All resources listed vertically with timeline horizontal and schedules displayed accordingly
- Multiday - All resources listed vertically with timeline horizontal and schedules displayed in a list
- Auto Refresh Minutes The number of minutes after which to automatically refresh Scheduler. This is useful especially if schedules are displayed on a large display in an office environment to ensure the latest data is always in view. Set to 1 minute for the highest refresh frequency or 1 hour (60 minutes) for a lower refresh frequency. Note: When dragging and dropping schedules, the view will refresh with the latest data anyway, therefore if Scheduler is being used frequently, there would be no reason to have a high refresh frequency
- Query cache Is an internal Scheduler component and should be left at the default value.
- Clash Management Scheduler can be configured to allow or disallow clashes. If clashes are not permitted, no resource can be allocated to two schedules that occupy the same time slot.
- Schedule Allow Clashes This will either allow or disallow Clashes. Note*Changing these settings having used and populated Scheduler will not affect any current clashes.
- Tasks This will allow the user to set if Tasks can clash with each other.
- Show tasks in Scheduler Select to display your own tasks in Scheduler. You can drag and drop to reschedule your own tasks and double click to open the task.
External Ical Feed (such as Google) Display another calendar in your Scheduler view. This can be any data feed that is in an iCal format.
