FileMaker® stores all of the data that Scheduler displays. When you update an appointment/job in Scheduler, this data is actually updated in FileMaker. Therefore, FileMaker is required to use Scheduler. However, if you are using FileMaker Server®, you do not need the FileMaker client installed on the computer running scheduler.
You can download a trial of FileMaker from the FileMaker website. (New Window)
Note: FileMaker® will need to be open if running FileMaker® scripts from Scheduler©

The guest account is enabled in the FileMaker database (FMScheduler.fp7) which requires no username or password for complete unlocked full access.
If using Scheduler© locally (on your computer - not a network), then FileMaker must be open and FMScheduler.fp7 running. Also ensure that ODBC is enabled in FileMaker. See the help documentation for a quick installation check-list and further detailed help and FileMaker screenshots on how to enable ODBC sharing.
The FileMaker client we provide as a download (once the purchase has been made) is exactly the same as the version supplied by FileMaker, Inc. We only provide the license key to unlock the application. Therefore, you can download the FileMaker client from FileMaker.com and then use the key that we supply to unlock the application.
Alternatively, Scheduler© can be run from a network shared drive, with simply a shortcut created on each users desktop/whereever linking to this one executable. When an update or upgrade takes place, only the file on the server needs updating, ensuring that your users have the most secure and up to date version.
NOTE: It is required that Scheduler© is first installed and registered on each of the computers.
