What is FileMaker®?
FileMaker® is an award-winning, easy-to-use database application for Windows, Mac and the Web.

FileMaker® stores all of the data that Scheduler displays. When you update an appointment/job in Scheduler, this data is actually updated in FileMaker. Therefore, FileMaker is required to use Scheduler. However, if you are using FileMaker Server®, you do not need the FileMaker client installed on the computer running scheduler.

You can download a trial of FileMaker from the FileMaker website. (New Window)

Do I need FileMaker® open to use Scheduler©?
No, not if you have FileMaker Server Advanced. If you are using FileMaker Pro®, you will need to have your database and FileMaker® open.

Note: FileMaker® will need to be open if running FileMaker® scripts from Scheduler©

How many resources can I create?
The number of resources in Scheduler© is unlimited. You may also create as many resource categories are needed, as these are also unlimited!
>Can I group my resources?
Yes! You can group your resources together in as many groups as you like. Also a resource can belong to more than one group.
I cannot log in to Scheduler©, what do I do?
When Scheduler© is installed, the default username and password is:

Username: 'admin'

Password: 'admin' (cAsE sEnSiTiVe)

OR

Username: 'Test user'

Password: 'test' (cAsE sEnSiTiVe)

The guest account is enabled in the FileMaker database (FMScheduler.fp7) which requires no username or password for complete unlocked full access.

If using Scheduler© locally (on your computer - not a network), then FileMaker must be open and FMScheduler.fp7 running. Also ensure that ODBC is enabled in FileMaker. See the help documentation for a quick installation check-list and further detailed help and FileMaker screenshots on how to enable ODBC sharing.

What if a newer version comes out after I make my purchase?
Our customers are entitled to a free upgrade for the purchased product if a newer version is released within 30 days.
Is there a difference between the FileMaker client version you supply and the version provided by FileMaker, Inc?
There is no difference.

The FileMaker client we provide as a download (once the purchase has been made) is exactly the same as the version supplied by FileMaker, Inc. We only provide the license key to unlock the application. Therefore, you can download the FileMaker client from FileMaker.com and then use the key that we supply to unlock the application.

Is there an easy way to update all of my network users?
Yes. Rather than update each version manually on each users computer, Scheduler© will automatically detect that a newer version is available and install the update for you (if this option is selected).

Alternatively, Scheduler© can be run from a network shared drive, with simply a shortcut created on each users desktop/whereever linking to this one executable. When an update or upgrade takes place, only the file on the server needs updating, ensuring that your users have the most secure and up to date version.

NOTE: It is required that Scheduler© is first installed and registered on each of the computers.

Using FileMaker Server Advanced but I can't connect Scheduler to my FM database?
You will need to ensure that you have enabled ODBC in the FileMaker Server admin console. You will also need to enter the IP Address of your FileMaker Server Advanced Server into the "Options" of the Scheduler login prompt.
Can I use FileMaker Scheduler on my Macintosh?
Yes, we have many customers using FileMaker Scheduler on their Mac! They install and run FileMaker Scheduler using the Parallels application, which performs exactly as if FileMaker Scheduler is on Windows.
Do you offer customisation should I have this requirement?
Yes. Should you have any specific requirements with which you would like integrated into Scheduler© or into your FileMaker® solution please contact us to discuss your needs.
If we purchase licenses and you customise Scheduler for us, will this affect us or the license in any way?
No. The only way your license would be affected is if a new version of the product came out with additional features (should you want this new version). The new version would be available to you (for free if within 30 days of your purchase, or for an upgrade fee thereafter). The new version would obviously include all of the custom development that we had completed previously for you.
How does Scheduler contact FileMaker®?
Scheduler© communicates with FileMaker® via ODBC. Simply type the I.P. address of your FileMaker Server (or 127.0.0.1 for localhost), the name of your database and enter your username and password and Scheduler© will connect to your database (providing that the database structure is in place).
How can I contact FileMaker Services for support?
