Software details

This software addresses an issue where the FileMaker Script Engine (FMSE) caused the Database Server to stop responding.

Before running the updater

Note: For a two-machine deployment, stop all FileMaker Server services on both machines. Then run the updater on the worker machine first, followed by the master machine.

Install the new software

  1. See FileMaker Server 14 Getting Started Guide, chapter 6, “Upgrading or moving an existing installation,” for detailed instructions on upgrading FileMaker Server.
  2. Double-click Setup.exe. (Note: Do not run FileMakerServer14v3Update.msp.)
  3. Read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, click Update and proceed as directed.
  4. After the update has completed, you will see a message confirming the successful update to the new version. Click Finish to quit the updater.

  6. Verify the version has been updated:
    1. Open the FileMaker Server 14 Admin Console Start Page.
    2. Under Software Update, the Current Installed Version should now start with 14.0.3.

FileMaker Fun At DevCon

You can have a peak at this years #FileMakerdevcon.  This video footage is clear evidence that FileMaker developers are not all about writing scripts… In fact they can party pretty hard like the best of them!

FileMaker developers from all over the world turned up in Vegas to celebrate FileMaker’s 30 years and what a bash it was.  Not only was it incredibly interesting during the day, but the evening, well you only have to watch the video to witness the spectacle, it was so much fun.

This year was particularly special for us, as we were able to give a short presentation and really announce our FileMaker Plug-in Synergize.   We were able to demonstrate how it powers our ERP solution BusinessMan, by adding Web portals, calendars and charts easily, which is not native to FileMaker.

Check out the video and hopefully you will want to join us next year.
